Look...

... what my son did while I made him breakfast this morning.

Yes, he found the crayons and drew on his fish tank. He asked for fish for Christmas and Santa came through. He loves them, but Mommy keeps having to remind him fish can't eat marshmallows or gummy bears or anything else he gets to eat. Thankfully, the crayon came off pretty easy with some vinegar. The fish's names are Google, Freckle, Peyton, and Bob. He named them. Oh, and by the way, Freckle is pregnant....

Ugh.. Mondays...

So yesterday was Monday. I'm not a fan of Mondays because it is one of the days I have to go to class. Not that I don't like class, it's just that I'm not a morning person and said class is at 8 AM. No fun at all. Yesterday, while getting ready, I had only one pair of jeans clean. (I admit it: I'm a slacker when it comes to laundry.) So I put the clean jeans on. They are my favorite jeans so it was no big deal. I'd just force myself to do laundry after class. Cooper woke up and shouted for "boob," so I nursed him some before I had to leave. About a minute after he crawled into my lap, I felt something warm and wet on my legs. I picked him up and sure enough, I had a big wet spot on my ONLY PAIR OF CLEAN JEANS! His diaper had leaked. Ugh. So I put on my sweat pants, change his diaper, and go on my marry way. The life of a mother....

Just an Update

This will be just a small update on some happenings of the past week or so.

This is what happens when you let a one year old play with your Blackberry.

We ended up turning Cooper around in his car seat last weekend. It is the only way it would fit in Jerry's Jeep and he insisted on taking Cooper for a ride. After facing forward in the Jeep, Cooper refused to face the rear when he moved back to my car. As you can see, he loved getting to see everything!

Jerry ordered Cooper and himself matching TapOut shirts. They look pretty darn cute in them if I do say so myself! Cooper is just waking up and Jerry squints alot in pictures. Oh well, this is the best one I got.

This has been my life for the past couple nights. As I tried to study for my Anatomy exam last night, my son turned into the whiniest child on the planet. I mentioned to a friend I thought maybe he was getting sick. And sure enough, a runny nose started this evening...

...along with this lovely fit. But, yes he is still cute Olga :)

Leaky Diapers & Leggings

Last night we stayed with my husband's parents. We realized after we got there that we had forgotten Cooper's bag of clothes(we had diapers, wipes, any medicines we might need though). Clothes were the only thing missing. I had a couple extra outfit in the diaper bag he could sleep in so we decided not to go back home after the clothes. BIG MISTAKE!
This morning he had a big poop and it came out of the side of his diaper ruining one of 2 outfits he has here. A little while ago he proceeded to have another big runny poop that got on the pants of his last outfit. Thankfully the shirt was still clean because it was not a onesie! I was worried about his little legs getting cold playing on the cold hardwood floor though so...... I made him some leggings! I cut the foot parts off of a pair of tube socks and VOILA! Warm legs! Haha

Mac & Cheese!!!

If you know me, you know that I am very picky about what my son eats. When I could I made his baby food. He does not have anything with cow's milk. This includes yogurt. I find it ridiculas that people give their baby's those yogurt melts and the yogurt made for babies. They are not supposed to have cow's milk until they are 1! I would also like to know what Gerber is thinking putting cow's milk in baby food made for infants 6 months plus!??
Anyway, since Cooper is only about 2 weeks away from turning 1, *sniffle, sniffle* I decided to cave and let him have his first mac and cheese! It was organic so that made me feel better about it. I had a harder time with this than I did when I started him on solids and gave him rice cereal! I was very emotional. I guess because I knew after I give him cow's milk he won't be as dependant on my milk.
He liked the mac & cheese ok but he was starting to get fussy so he wasn't very interested in eating. He ate about ten bites and then refused to eat another bite. I guess its good he wouldn't eat much to start him on milk slowly so it doesn't upset his tummy. Its the end of an era :(

Wordy Baby

I made a list of all the words Cooper says and was amazed to find he says 20 words!!! I was so proud! Some of them he only says repeating them after us but about 15 of them he says using them correctly! Such as kitty, bath, mama, dada, book, and yes he says boob. I tried to teach him to say milk but everyone else said "mommy, Cooper wants some boobie!". And it stuck. Today I was trying to get him to say milk to which he kept replying "boob." I guess he was done waiting for it because after going back and forth about it 3 or 4 times he screamed boob and pinched both of my boobs(through my shirt)! Then I screamed and he started crying. It was quite a scene...

MY BIG BIG BOY!!!

My baby boy just became a big boy a couple hours ago and took his first steps!!! I am so proud of him! (Yet also dreading what is to come a little lol) I will post a video if I can get him to do it for me on camera! His daddy got a tiny shuffle step on video right after he took his first. He was standing by himself between my legs in the kitchen and took 3 steps AWAY FROM ME! His daddy and I were the only ones that saw even though his Mimi and Uncle were in the room. They had their back to him but he was nice enough to do it again for them!
On another subject... My little genius also tried to hurt my best friend... My breast pump. Lol. He went behind the recliners and unzipped the bag and proceeded to remove all of my pump pieces. All the while plotting who knows what. You should see the looks he gives it if I pump in front of him! It's like he could tear it apart with his bare baby hands! Those are his boobies and he doesn't want to share so he was going to take care of the problem!
He is getting so big so fast! Wear has this past year gone?? It seems like just yesterday I was eight months pregnant and miserable...
